A bright galley kitchen was created in this westside condo by replacing a doorway opposite the window with a full run of cabinets and a slide-in refrigerator. The original full height wall to the right of the entry was reduced to a knee wall, opening the kitchen to the main living space. Cheerful cream subway tile was installed from counter to ceiling along the window wall, and as an accent band inset into glass and stone mosaic tile on the opposite wall. Counters were made of large scale porcelain tile, minimizing grout lines and providing a durable work surface.
