Sustainable design was the focus in this historic NW Portland condo conversion. The tiny wall-mount sink was replaced with a narrow depth vanity and break-front sink, which provided storage and optimized floor space. The original tub was replaced with a spacious walk-in shower with frameless glass door, and the knee wall opposite the shower controls had shelves and storage built-in for the tissue holder. The glass above the knee wall allowed light to pass into the space through the single window. The woodwork was handcrafted from reclaimed fir, which showed occasional blackened marks from nails and hinges from a past life.
Northwest Condo
Ash Pierce Design worked with my general contractor on a complete remodel of my condominium, including new kitchen and bathroom design. Peg was great at helping me to choose finishes, paint colors, and furniture. I recommend her highly.
