The owners of this 1967 travel trailer wanted to transform it into a Glamper, and take off on weekend adventures. A new fridge was installed, and the original range, hood, and heat vent were custom painted in aqua. The ceiling was painted with cotton candy pink glitter paint. Retro curtains added flower power. The sofa was upholstered in hard-working indoor/outdoor fabric, and makes into a queen-sized bed. For a bit of privacy and a nod to 1960’s beaded curtains, glittery floral openwork drapes pull across the sleeping area when needed. One wall was painted in mod, glitter ovals, and sparkling kisses cover the cabinets over the eating nook. Rhinestones trim the bright pillows.
Glamper
My wife and I bought a tired 1967 Aristocrat trailer with the idea of engaging in some nostalgia. Although we each did some basic camping with our families in the 60's - 70's, this time we wanted something glamorous and fun. Peg suggested honoring our camping memories and the era of our trailer, but giving it a complete update with new colors, patterns and textures evoking the 60's without being the 60's. We are delighted with Peg's theme and her work. So much so that we often have coffee in our revamped Glamper even when it's just parked in our garage. Thanks Peg!
