A new vanity replaced a single pedestal sink, creating ample storage behind the vanity doors and drawers, and an expanse of counter space.  The large scale under-mounted sink was chosen to contain water spills and to make clean-up a snap.  The counter was made of volcanic ash containing glints of glass within. The new vanity and the existing tub were seamlessly connected by the addition of glass mosaic tile behind the vanity and across to the tub surround.
