The kitchen in this Old Portland condo was opened up by removing two walls, creating a generous entry and extra dining space with the addition of a breakfast bar. Storage was created by installing drawers into the toe-kicks, and by taking the upper cabinets to the ceiling. Views over the breakfast bar keep the cook connected with guests. All materials were selected for beauty, function, and sustainability. The cabinets and woodwork were handcrafted from reclaimed lumber. The back splash tiles were handmade by a Pacific Northwest artisan. The floor was made of sustainable cork, and is comfortable underfoot.
Northwest Condo
Ash Pierce Design worked with my general contractor for a complete remodel of my condominium, including a new kitchen and bathroom. Peg was great at helping me to choose finishes, paint colors, and furniture. I recommend her highly.
